Apple Seek To Remove Apptrackr

AppTrackr is one of the reasons why Apple hate the Jailbreak community the most, unfortunately there is not much that the community can do, other than refusing to support it in any way – shape or form. Leaving certain groups of individuals that thrive on this website for their apps.

Apple has finally after several years, taken steps to cripple this site and I’m sure it will be welcomed by developers and iOS users

Ways Apptrackr have avoided this for so long are as followed, offshore servers hosting illegal copies of applications, as well as CAPATCHA codes for all of it’s links. All of their efforts have kept apple away until now.

Cydia does not endorse any of this site’s activities and even mentioned the reason why not to install this source onto your iDevices

1. Applications like Hackulo and installs should be avoided

2. Please support developers by spending a small amount on an app that has had 100 hours spent on it

3. Finally – enjoy your iDevices and enjoy the amount of already free apps on Cydia and the AppStore

Cydia Sources Are Taking A Pounding!

This is a quick update, recently, MriOSDevices reported on an untethered jailbreak.

It seems that most sources are taking a serious pounding from users wanting to put Cydia tweaks on their iDevice. Most users are experiencing this(including me), it can be really annoying and slow to download tweaks.  Some users are having to re-jailbreak to solve this problem!

MriOSDevices is hoping this can be fixed quickly but just remember the services these guys do for the jailbreak community is free and we should respect that.

MriOSDevices is going to keep you updated on all things iOS and comment below if you experience this problem.

iOS Beats Android On Christmas Day Activations!

Recently, it was leaked that 700,000 Android Phones were activated each day, that seems not the case on Christmas Day.

4.2 Million iOS Devices were activated compared to Android’s 2.6 Million.

Over the whole Christmastime, Apple won as they have the iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone compared to Android which is mainly phones.

There are lots of Android Tablets and MP3 Players out there but they do not sell as well as Apple’s Products.

Well thats a lot of happy Apple Fans(believe me I should know).

Thanks for visiting MriOSDevices and we wish you a Happy New Year!

Untethered iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak (How-to Guide) Using Redsn0w

Jailbreaking is a fairly simple process to go through, but many people are scared and hesitant to try it. The thought of crashes, bugs, and something going wrong discourages people from jailbreaking, but once you do have everything sorted out, the results pay off.

Apple is “Cleaning” Everyone’s Devices?!?

Just a few moments ago, several apps on my iPhone became unusable and underneath quoted as “Cleaning”

It seems to be happening with social apps, most reports say after a certain amount of time, they become usuable again. After deleting my Twitter app I was no longer able to reinstall the deleted app.

Perhaps Apple is doing some routine maintenance, but it seems very strange and unlike anything I’ve seen happen on a device before.

Let MriOSDevices know in the comments below if you’ve had anything like this happen.

GreenPois0n Untethered Jailbreak on Christmas Day?!?

Two reason’s lead MRiOSDevices to think a Christmas Day will have a release of the highly anticipated Untethered iOS 5 / .0.1 Jailbreak

Earlier today Cydia started signing iOS 5.0.1 on it’s devices and @iOPK tweeted a photo of the Greenpois0n logo with a santa hat (created by the Chronic Dev Team)

(As readers will know, the Chronic Dev Team received the jailbreak info from @pod2g a few days ago for an “ASAP” release – giving Pod2g the time frame to bring the A5 processor jailbreaks closer to us)

This could be coincidence but we are optimistic that it could be a very, Merry Christmas.

Here’s the original video of the untethered Jailbreak release a couple of days ago….

Make Your iDevice’s Home Button Responsive Again

Has your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch’s home button become unresponsive? Do you have to press two to three times to get back to your home screen? Well today, I’ll show you a little tip for making your iOS device’s home button more responsive. This little trick has been out for a while now, but I wanted to share it with those of you who have not heard about it. I tried this trick with my iPod Touch and I did see a considerable improvement in the responsiveness of my home button. Let us know how this trick worked for you.

Step 1: Open a stock application like the stocks app or the notes app.

Step 2: Hold the sleep/wake button until the “slide to power off” screen appears, but don’t turn off the device.

Step 3: Hold down the home button until the “slide to power off” screen goes away and you are brought back to the home screen.

Now test out the responsiveness of your home button. See if there is any improvement. Your home button should be a lot more responsive now than it was before.  Let us know how it turned out for you!

Real Racing 2 Mac App BUT- Controlled via your iDevice

The guys over at Real Racing have always been working hard on their apps, they were the first to have airplay enabled on the Apple TV and multiplay screens via the Apple TV, Well just recently they have released Real Racing 2 for the Mac AppStore and they’ve not disappointed. This release featured an intuitive control via your iDevices.

I have uploaded a video demonstration with my iPhone 4s, It was very simple to set up, all you do is input your unique URL in the mac app settings, and add the page to your home screen and you’re good to go. It’s literally a VNC that makes use of the accelerometer to steel the cars. you can control the mouse and also brake when on the track. making it a very useful controller.
