Get your own Passbook Ticket to #WWDC 2013 [HowTo]

Although Apple sold $8,000,000 worth of tickets to this year’s WWDC, chances are you are not the owner of one. Over the years, tickets have sold in increasingly quicker times. This year was no exception with an estimated selling time of 80 SECONDS.

For those of us who want to be apart of it, you can now visit a web address on your devices Safari, and it will add your very own WWDC ticket. Take a look at the images below to see for yourself.

Send us a tweet or leave a comment below if you followed this simple step to acquire your own WWDC ticket.

iCarbons Device Orgy | Review and Video

There are two things I love about a new Apple device. Firstly it’s new, fresh design. Secondly the look of a new Carbon Fibre skin on that new device. iCarbons are the leading manufacturer in this market, their impressive library hosts all the tech that you should give a damn about.

I rarely make videos these days, mainly because of time but also because I rarely feel the passion/drive to “show it off”. Today I needed to show these devices in simplicity and my video below shows it!!

In addition to this video, I will include below a whole host of photos that now sit proudly on my hard disk drive and social network sites like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

You can buy your own iCarbons from the official site and the official UK Reseller iCarbons & PhoneManiac

What do you use to protect your devices, do you prefer a case or are you hardcore and enjoy your device naked? leave a comment below!

UPDATED | MriOSDevices Thoughts on Apples Advertising | New iPad TV Ad [Video]

Apple have released their next advert based around the iPad and it’s baby brother, the iPad mini. The typical style of Apple oozes from this video, the quick music, amount of features packed into the 30 second clip. I love this and it works very well throughout. My only negative is the group of people shouting at intervals, it makes the advert seem almost desperate.

Just a few weeks ago, Apple have had 100′s of double-decker buses in London, clad in white backgrounds. Displaying the colourful new iDevices from its chromatics range. In principle the idea is fantastic, however public transport is renowned for the lack of cleaning etc. making the adverts look old and very dirty, something Apple isn’t….

What are your thoughts on the advertising from Apple, have you seen a decline in this area, If you worked for Apple, how would you advertise your latest products? Leave a comment below, or you check us out on the following social sites Twitter, Facebook & YouTube

Cydia Tweak | PodSwitcher | Video Preview

PodSwitcher is a new tweak heading to the BigBoss Repo in the next few days, this apparently works well with Auxo (for any of you fans)

This tweak is another multitasking tweak with the additional options for playing your music on the go, it is still buggy however it should improve before release. Along with the ability to play music, you can scrub through albums/songs etc. along the bottom of the screen, you can rewind, share, fast forward, share on twitter plus more.

Although other tweaks do manage music and other aspects of multi tasking well, this developer is keen on adding Spotify integration eventually and I will be looking forward to that!

Mobile Security Convention in London | @SecureMobileCon

Mobile phones, tablets and electronic devices have in the past few years, become one of the most important possessions we own. The security of these devices are often neglected and left wide open for access

SecureMobileCon aims to bring its users, developers and engineers together and look at improving this area of device management. On the 21st June 2013, SecureMobileCon will be holding its first convention In London, UK and tickets will be available very soon. You can find out more on their website SecureMobileCon

This area of development is essential for many reasons, as a local government employee, the importance of security, data protection and trust is always lacking on devices. Just recently,  I had the ability to use my work documents and emails via the “Good Enterprise Application” giving me the opportunity to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) – Council’s and other public sectors are reluctant to allow third part access or outside network controls to take place, albeit because of unknown technology and/or the lack of experience.

I am very excited to see this event take off, we can all be assured as one of the main creators is someone who is an accomplished event’s manager, Craig Fox – he has bought is JailbreakCon – A successful and  excellent collaboration of developers and enthusiasts.

You can be sure the MriOSDevices will update you on this event as well as all other iOS news – Follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook & Subscribe to our YouTube channel

A New Generation Of Jailbreakers | Welcome

Since the evasi0n jailbreak, statistics have shown up all over twitter and blogs, today the latest statistic is that 7 MILLION devices have been hacked with the #Evasi0n software released by well known developers such as musclenerd, planetbeing etc.

What more astonishing than this, since I bought my iPhone 1st generation from the USA back in September 2007, we’ve had a pretty consistent jailbreak scene. That was until the iPhone 5 and iPad mini, months past and people bought these new devices and took them for what they are, secure by Apple and just like everyone else’s device.

It hit me that the majority of Jailbreakers in the past either gave up their jailbreaks for newer devices, or kept hold of older devices for the jailbreak on so old firmware….

Today we now have 22 different devices with the eligibility to Jailbreak with ease. Not only 22 devices but people who might have never Jailbroken before. The next generation of iDevice users.

I’ve certainly noticed the increase of questions about jail breaking on my YouTube videos and twitter @ replies. With this new jailbreak, we hope it will inspire the next generation of Jailbreakers to create new program’s and tweaks for its 7 million users (so far)

What do you think of jail breaking, are you new to Apple ecosystem, let us know in the comments below or on twitter.

iFaith v1.5 RELEASED | Download Links Provided

@iHateSn0w has just announced the release or iFaith v1.5 for windows users, he has no ETA for the Mac OS version but bookmark this site for the latest news on iOS

below you will find out all you need to know about iFaith v 1.5 and the downloads for the program, Oh yeah, the new iFaith will also fetch beta blobs when new betas are pushed. :)

What is new?:

  • Major code improvements.
  • Added Check for Update code.
  • Adds the ability to dump iOS 5.1.x/6.0.x/6.1 on the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3, and A4 devices.
  • Crazy payload rewrite. (There are a chain of payloads used in this new iFaith purely dedicated to bumping up performance. iFaith should dump instantly after payload executes!).
  • Finally enabled 3.x.x IPSW creation for iPod touch 2G users.
  • Finally fully fixes NAND issues with newer models (e.g iPhone 4 8GB, new iPod Touch 4 models).
  • In addition to dumping your SHSH blobs, iFaith will automatically fetch SHSH blobs for the latest iOS Apple is actively signing and submits them to Cydia.
  • All devices [including A5(X)/A6(X)] can grab SHSH blobs for the latest iOS firmwares Apple is actively signing simply by selecting the “Show available SHSH blobs on Server” button and following the on-screen prompts. (It will submit them to Cydia as well).Even though you may not be able to utilize the SHSH blobs you save for A5(X)/A6(X) devices at this time, you may be able to in the future (Future loopholes/exploits)!

The beauty of this feature is there is no need to provide an IPSW or push new iFaith updates just to save the latest SHSH blobs from Apple [just like the TinyUmbrella days]. (Send some love to @icj_and @iNeal for their lovely APIs powering this new ability in iFaith).

Mac Version?!:

I’m working with @Djayb6 on getting iFaith fully ported to Mac OS. I can’t provide an ETA as to when it will be available, but keep an eye out for it! :)

A5(X)/A6(X) Support?!:

Devices equipped with the A5(X)/A6(X) processor do not currently have any known low level iBoot or DFU exploits to jump start the iFaith payload to initialize the dump and restore. Therefore, support to dump blobs for devices running these processors are not possible at this moment in time. (You can still fetch the latest blobs directly from apple though by clicking the “Show Available SHSH blobs on Server” button.

A5(X)/A6(X) Downgrade?!:

As far as downgrading on A5(X)/A6(X) devices goes… There currently is no publicly known loophole to kick-start a downgrade. So at the moment there is NO public way of downgrading an A5(X)/A6(X) device. For A5(X) devices still running 5.x.x, redsn0w can recycle the first apticket loophole and
*re-restore* your device as long as you have the essential SHSH blobs. More info on that here.

Windows 8 Users:

  • You will need to follow this tutorial to get iFaith to run.
