Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 Can Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2

It has been confirmed that Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 can jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2.

Now, if you running the beta you can enjoy the jailbreak goodness. It is tethered but if you add the Semitether tweak you’ll be fine.

You will need to jailbreak to a 5.0 or Beta 1 .IPSW file in Redsow for it to work as Beta 2 was released OTA.

You do that at your own risk and MriOSDevices will not be liable if things go wrong with you’re iDevice.

Siri’s Data Revealed

When the iPhone 4S was released, one of its big selling points was Siri. Siri is Apple’s Voice assistant that can give send text messages, emails, set reminders and even more.

On average for simple tasks it will use 60kb of data a command but for more complex commands like when it searches Google to find a answer it can use 90kb.

If you use Siri a lot this may be costly so make sure you are using WiFi when you can.

MriOSDevices will keep you posted on Siri’s features and worries.

2 More Mac Trojans On The Horizon

Remember those awful days on Windows where you had to install those Internet Security software? If you have a Mac you may need to install some Internet Security software now before it is too late.

2 more trojans have been found on the Mac, They are called Tsunami and DevilRobber. What do these trojans do? Tsunami edit OSX to allow remote attacks onto your Mac. Tsunami isn’t widely found yet but is evolving. DevilRobber slows down your Mac until its basically unusable and stealing your precious data making your computing experience horrible.

MriOSDevices will update you on trojans found inside of Mac OSX.

Sprint iPhone 4S Customers Complaining About Data Speed

Back on October 4th, Tim Cook announced that the 4S would be available on Sprint in USA which a lot of Sprint customers were very happy about.

Now it seems that those customers who bought the 4S on Sprint are not as happy. The Data speeds are extremely lower  than on Verizon and AT&T.

Sprint CEO has said in the last few days that all the Android phones are clogging up Sprint. :(

MriOSDevices will keep you updated on this problem.
