Over the last few days, I purchased a iPad 3rd Generation, here’s my first impressions on the device. I purchased a Black 16GB WiFi.

Why should you buy a iPad?
Well, over its competitors, it beats them without a doubt, with its A5X Quad Core Graphics Processor, 1GB Ram and The New “Retina Display” it completely smashes them! With all Apple Products, because they make the hardware and software, unlike the Android tablets, which means there’s no unnecessary drivers, no crappy overlays and the OS comes out on release day, supported and built 100% just for that device.

My First Impressions
Well, as soon as I unboxed it, switched it on and ran through iOS 5′s setup, I physically went WOW! The screen pops like crazy, thanks to the 2048 x 1536 Retina Display it’s just mental!
Any app I throw at the iPad will load quickly, with no crashing or bugs.

Well, I think iOS 5 is to blame for the wonderful iPad as we know it, it’s just awesome. The multitasking is great, with gestures its a breeze to open and close applications. Multitasking is great for listening to Radio Apps, whilst doing something different, perhaps tweeting or updating that all important Facebook Status.

Stay tuned for the full review.

Last night I was approached by a well-known member of the jailbreak / tech scene to review a new app he had released on the Mac AppStore, The app/tweak is called QuickToggles and it is available to download NOW! You can click here for the link!

Above is the overview of the app, it gives you a host of quick accessible features to improve the commuting quality experience. For myself I can click a button in the menu bar after closing a labour intensive program, and in 10 seconds I have a speedy computer that runs as if no programs had been opened.

Video demo of QuickToggles below

I rate this app/tweak a 8.5/10 I would like to see some more features included into this app, as it stands it does what it says on the time, perhaps the developer could add some smart transitions, and give it that wow factor that we all love.

We all know that Apple are due to change the design and include intel’s new Ivy Bridge on the upcoming MacBook Pro refresh, however their has been further speculations that these new models will also sport ultra high definition (Retina) displays and solid state drives (SSD), which of course would improve the day to day speed of the machines.

Furthermore, Apple are yet to introduce USB 3.0 onto their line of computers, so therefore their are more speculations to suggest that they might include such peripheral support. In addition to this we feel that Apple would be stupid not to include this as it would enable a plethora of devices to work faster on Apple’s increasingly popular computer range.

Collectively, all of these allegations are rumors, meaning that any one of them may not become true. This is why we feel that these speculations should be treated as rumors and rumors only, and are therefore not to be taken overly serious about.

;

UPDATE: Further speculations say that these new features will bump the price up on these machines by about £70-100 – which is significant considering that Macs are considered to have premium prices anyway

pod2g the infamous ios hacker who brought us the corona jailbreak has today released a blog post answering some question.

you can see it on pod2g’s blog, or read it below.

The poll about releasing now or waiting for 6.0 ended with a 64% / 33% to release ASAP. Where is the link ? ETA ? How much % done ? etc.
As I said earlier in twitter, there’s still a lot to do to have a user friendly and well tested tool to install the Jailbreak on end users devices. Expect a release in a couple of weeks.

Will it be compatible with my ?
It will be compatible with any device running iOS 5.1.1 except iPod 3G, iPhone3Gs and ATV3 (right now, may change in a near future, nobody knows).

Why is it so slow to release now that the iPad 3,1 has been demoed?
There are 16 different devices out there to work on and to test. It takes time.

May I be a beta tester?
No, sorry. Only really trusted people (that can be counted on one hand) could have access to the jailbreak. I don’t want any leak to happen.

What if I offer you 1,000,000$?
That doesn’t change a thing.

Are you going to jailbreak? let us know below.

And as always if you need any help or just want to say hi feel free to contact me on twitter

Maybe you have the 2011 iMac and are crying at nigh time because of its slow processing power. If so, you may be interested in this article!

Apple’s new, unannounced MacBook Pro and iMac have started to pop-up in Geekbench benchmarks over the last few days. MacRumors noticed the new benchmarks in its forums, where a “MacBookPro9,1″ entry surfaced, which suggests it will land as the 2012 replacement for the current MacBookPro8,x versions of the popular Apple Computer.

It will reportedly sport Intel’s new Ivy Bridge Core i7-3820QM Quad-core processor with a clock speed of 2.7GHz. It is heard that the new chipset will not arrive on the 13″ model, but the 15″. The benchmarks also revealed a new iMac13,2 device, which is Apple’s latest 27-inch desktop computer. If true, it will rock Intel’s quad-core Ivy Bridge Core i7-3770 clocked at 3.4GHz. The iMac scored 12,183 in Geekbench, just up from the 11,500 score that current models typically pull in. Hopefully we’ll hear more on both computers in the coming weeks and months.

The Ivy Bridge chips were released not so long ago, which means that the new Macs should be here soon, well that’s what everyone’s thinking at this moment, we will obviously keep you informed.

Apple have been receiving quite a few complaints regarding their 4G iPad option in places that don’t support it, like Australia and here in the UK. Customers have been getting confused when they pick the 4G iPad, only to be told that they cannot use it to its full potential in their country. Consequently Apple have taken action on this particular issue and decided to rename the ‘iPad Wi-Fi + 4G” to “iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular”.

In addition to this, further observations have been made on Apple’s online store and it has been recognized that the 3G iPad 2 hans’t been rebranded globally like its bigger brother, the new iPad. We were rather surprised when we found this out as we instantly thought that this would confuse non savvy customers even more. None the less there hasn’t been any hardware changes, so when 4th generation connectivity comes to the UK, your new iPad will take full advantage of the superior speeds.

This is a review of the Kogeto iPhone 4 & 4s 360 degree video capturing tool, you can find them by clicking here

Below is the test footage I took at the Emirates Football Stadium in London, home to Aresnal FC.

Here is the video review on YouTube

You can pick up the Kogeto for $49.00 in a range of different colours,I personally love the red. The quality of the product itself is excellent, it comes with a “lay on the table” design and fits perfectly onto your iPhone, you can download the free app here and check out everyone’s videos.

My favourite feature with the video is the ability to embed them anywhere on the internet, for example an estate agent could capture a whole room to promote their sales, or an artichect could show off their work in one video. the possibilities are endless.

Since 2007, The Maps app on iOS has ran through Google’s pretty popular Maps service, hence the name, but now, in 2012, it’s missing lots of features that Android and Windows Phone, like Turn By Turn Navigation, for example.

Well it seems Apple are fixing this, it is rumoured that in iOS 6, Apple are releasing their own 3D Mapping service!

The most important aspect of the new Maps application is a powerful new 3D mode. The 3D mode does not come enabled by default, but users simply need to click a 3D button that is conveniently and visibly stored in the app. Perhaps under the fold like the current traffic, pin, and map view buttons. This 3D mode is said to essentially be technology straight from C3 Technologies: beautiful, realisitic graphics based on de-classified missile target algorithms.

Apple’s mapping services will be rather similar to the current Google Maps application, although Apple’s implementation is said to be a “much cleaner, faster, and more reliable experience” and will include a new icon based on the same view of the company’s Infinite Loop headquarters in Cupertino but with new colors and styling.

This is awesome, it will stop people downloading 3rd party apps like NavFree to use their iPhones as GPS.

We expect iOS 6 to be shown off at WWDC, and released alongside The New iPhone, sometime in October.
