The iPhone 5 has helped iOS become the leading market share holder in the United States, many phone provider have posted percentages that support this data.
“The iPhone 5 has been successful this period however we also see that Apple’s older models – the iPhone 4S and 4 have also contributed to the growing share of iOS,” Kantar Worldpanel ComTech analyst Mary-Ann Parlato said. “This is particularly the case for first-time smartphone iPhone buyers where we see the older models still selling well amongst this group.”
Will Apple’s trend continue in 2013, will market share for other devices improve and overtake in other parts of the world? We sure hope so and we will be first to let you know if and when they do!
Yesterday I posted a few tweets on Twitter about how amazing it would be if Apple started selling coffee, it seems like a natural progression for them and its customers. Their stores, customer service ooze appeal and selling beverages would serve it’s customers well.
It would also introduce new customers to its stores and ever increase it’s “trendy” appeal. Today @MacTrast has posted about Apple selling “iWater” (well I made that bit up myself) but this image caught my attention because of my tweets yesterday.
What do you think of this idea, would you buy coffee or water from Apple, would you enjoy their surroundings and at the same time, pick up the latest mac or iOS device.
Let me know your thoughts below…

iOS 6 Beta 4 is out, but with a twist, no YouTube app! No one was expecting this, no rumours about it, no “leaks” of it. It has taken everyone by surprise! No one was expecting this, we just thought it was big fixes and stability improvements like always.
The rest of iOS 6 Beta 4 is just really bug fixes.
This is part of Apple’s attempt of flushing Google out of iOS, which started with Maps, now they’re using their own service. Maybe Google might pounce on this and release a YouTube App in the App Store, who knows.
If you are reading this, then chances are you are already running iOS 5 on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. As you may already know, one of the most notable new feature in the iOS 5 is the fully revamped notification system called Notification Center. While this new feature does what it does admirably on its default settings, what really makes the Notification Center stand out is its potential for added functionality. This is especially true concerning the jailbreak scene because developers seem to flock on the new notification system in order to develop tweaks and apps. Now here are the top 10 awesome jailbreak widgets and tweaks for iOS 5′s Notification Center.
NOTE: Most of these tweaks and widgets do not have a Springboard icon for activation and configuration. But most of them can be activated / deactivated by navigating to Settings.app and to the Notifications section. Continue reading

It seems just like yesterday that we took our little iPhone home from the Apple tech lab in which it was born. We made it through the early rough patches, and now our baby is turning five years old, I need a tissue.
Earlier today, Apple released a new iOS 6 beta to developers, If you happen to spot any more UI changes, let MriOSDevices know.
Maybe it’s the geek / apple fan boy in me but the video Dan uploaded below is of something irrelevant to iOS itself, but the moving cogs are a welcomed change, perhaps Apple will animate their icons in the future
