A New Generation Of Jailbreakers | Welcome

Since the evasi0n jailbreak, statistics have shown up all over twitter and blogs, today the latest statistic is that 7 MILLION devices have been hacked with the #Evasi0n software released by well known developers such as musclenerd, planetbeing etc.

What more astonishing than this, since I bought my iPhone 1st generation from the USA back in September 2007, we’ve had a pretty consistent jailbreak scene. That was until the iPhone 5 and iPad mini, months past and people bought these new devices and took them for what they are, secure by Apple and just like everyone else’s device.

It hit me that the majority of Jailbreakers in the past either gave up their jailbreaks for newer devices, or kept hold of older devices for the jailbreak on so old firmware….

Today we now have 22 different devices with the eligibility to Jailbreak with ease. Not only 22 devices but people who might have never Jailbroken before. The next generation of iDevice users.

I’ve certainly noticed the increase of questions about jail breaking on my YouTube videos and twitter @ replies. With this new jailbreak, we hope it will inspire the next generation of Jailbreakers to create new program’s and tweaks for its 7 million users (so far)

What do you think of jail breaking, are you new to Apple ecosystem, let us know in the comments below or on twitter.

Protect Your iPhone 5 Screen With Quality!

After spending over £529.00 or $200.00 on your iPhone 5, it can sometimes be a reluctant purchase but…. nothing is more important than protecting that display. I quickly bought some screen protectors the other day from an Orange dealer in London. These are perhaps the best screen protectors I have ever used….

Which took longer | The Video Editing or this iPhone 5 Dock?

An interesting video that caught my eye for two reasons, the first and most obvious is the fact that the new lightening cable for the iPhone 5 makes all other docks, cables, accessories almost useless. Ultimately you will have to rebuild your army of charging cables, docks, accessories.

This craftsman thought he’d take this into his own hands and build himself a dock, although crudely designed, it serves his purpose and actually works very well.

I am not just writing this post just because of his “home-made” dock, but the effort he put into making this video, I am sure it took him longer to make, It is simply brilliant, this video will of course go viral in the coming weeks so I wanted to share it with you while it has 2,000 views currently.

Senior Vice President of Apple Replies to iPhone 5 ScuffGate Saga

Image from 9to5Mac

So it seem’s an email from an iPhone 5 user has grated against Phil Schiller, a friendly email from “Alex” has questioned as to why his iPhone 5 is “scuffed” and scraped after normal usage, Phil replies with an obvious reply that leads me to think that this reply was a frustration that’s growing in the Apple HQ.

What are your thoughts on “ScuffGate” and the new iPhone design, have Apple improved the look of their device in return for a lesser build quality.

Tip | iPhone 5 | Protection

Day 2 of the public release for the iPhone 5, two things are on my mind;

1. When will a public jailbreak be available

2. How can we protect our devices.

The iPhone 5′s front will be simple, screen protectors are available on sites like eBay and Amazon, but for the back plate it is a different story. Because of the indentation of the logo and “iPhone” text, as well at the top and bottom bands, this iPhone will not accept the standard screen protectors.

 Standard screen protector

I have thought this since before attempts have been made and thanks to @MattyB1994 on Twitter, here is proof of the apparent problem. The only solution is to either purchase a skin, case or carbon fibre product along the likes of iCarbons.com

however if you’re like me, in love with the “naked” look then I suggest you spending a little more money on a decent wet applied screen protector. Go with a brand with quality like ZAGG etc.

Ashphalt 7: Heat, Is It Smoking Hot?

Ashphalt 7: Heat, the latest addition to Gameloft’s amazing racing game series, it is highly addictive! Thanks to Gameloft for sending us a review code, and thank you for reading! You guys rock!

Asphalt 7: Heat really does live up to the expectation, its brilliant! It’s so realistic, with amazing graphics. It brings a whole new way to navigating around the game(which is nice!) but takes a bit to get used to. Not really a big deal.
