iCarbons Device Orgy | Review and Video

There are two things I love about a new Apple device. Firstly it’s new, fresh design. Secondly the look of a new Carbon Fibre skin on that new device. iCarbons are the leading manufacturer in this market, their impressive library hosts all the tech that you should give a damn about.

I rarely make videos these days, mainly because of time but also because I rarely feel the passion/drive to “show it off”. Today I needed to show these devices in simplicity and my video below shows it!!

In addition to this video, I will include below a whole host of photos that now sit proudly on my hard disk drive and social network sites like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

You can buy your own iCarbons from the official site and the official UK Reseller iCarbons & PhoneManiac

What do you use to protect your devices, do you prefer a case or are you hardcore and enjoy your device naked? leave a comment below!

Tweak of the Week: Instasocial

What fun would a powerful smartphone be without having the ability to share information with the world through one of the popular social media networks? With Apple’s last major release of iOS, we saw the inclusion of native sharing of info to the Twitter network and it looks likely that more services will be added in future releases of iOS, but until that time comes, some additional installations through Cydia should suffice.

The InstaSocial tweak comes from the developer of InstaTwitter and InstaFacebook, two individual widgets for Notification Center that exist as single entities and allow information to be posted to the social networks. The purpose of InstaSocial seems to go a few steps further and offers users a premium social sharing experience directly from Notification Center.

After installation, InstaSocial is activated like all Notification Center-based widgets. Switching the Notification Center toggle to ‘On’ will place the widget directly within Notification Center. As is always the case with these type of widgets, it is also compatible with the Dashboard X package, meaning that all of the functionality can also be accessed from the home screen.

InstaSocial pretty much does as the name suggests by giving instant social sharing options to the device through the integration of social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+. A native looking alert pop up provides users with the ability to choose the network of their choice, and also gives them the ability to upload media through the Camera Roll or directly from the native Camera app itself, and to top it off, you can add a custom caption to the image being uploaded using the iOS keyboard or by using voice dictation.

There can be no denying that InstaSocial provides a decent way to.

Ashphalt 7: Heat, Is It Smoking Hot?

Ashphalt 7: Heat, the latest addition to Gameloft’s amazing racing game series, it is highly addictive! Thanks to Gameloft for sending us a review code, and thank you for reading! You guys rock!

Asphalt 7: Heat really does live up to the expectation, its brilliant! It’s so realistic, with amazing graphics. It brings a whole new way to navigating around the game(which is nice!) but takes a bit to get used to. Not really a big deal.

GoodBye MobileMe | featuring iTool | .Mac

MobileMe – formally .mac & iTools has actually been around since early 2000 – things were very different back then, MobileMe was introduced in July 2008, making it exactly 4 years old. Unfortunately if you haven’t moved you files from MobileMe, they will no longer be available.

Apple announced the end of MobileMe 12 months ago, giving registered user 12 months to sort out their files and accounts, additionally Apple made a new service called iCloud available for free, to everyone.

Image of iTools;

I bought my first MobileMe account back in 2009 for approx £60 $90. the main reason for this was the ability to host an iWeb, website for free – My first attempt at making a website, it was crude, had horrible icons, BUT it works at it was easy for someone like me to accomplish!

Speck | Fit Folio iPad 3 Case | Review

[tab name='Review']

The Good: Very protective, stylish and easy to use.

The Bad: The grooves of the stand could be firmer (hopefully speck will improve on this, however this is not a deal breaker)

Speck made the FitFolio case for the iPad 2 which was a quite popular product. With the new iPad 3rd gen, Speck has released a new iteration of the FitFolio case with the hard shell designed to fit the tablet perfectly and the cutouts for the slightly different locations of the rear camera and the top mic to line up in the center. There are some improvements in design as well in the new case to make it easier to use and also the cover collection of the FitFolio case for the new iPad includes not only the solid colors such as Black, Pomodoro, Peacock (pictured in this review) and Grape, but also three patterned designs including ColorBar Berry, HalfTone Plaid and FreshBloom Pink/Black.
