Today, Apple released an update to iOS 6 Beta, which gives users that are rocking it now a better performing device. Apple normally do not just include Beta Bug Improvements when releasing an update like they did today, they threw in some improvements for Maps and the Navigation part of it(see picture below).

Stride Cydia Tweak by @B3LL – Custom Unlock
Stride by @b3ll on Twitter is a great way for anyone to unlock their iOS Devices, you can set your own swipe/draw gesture and the visual display of this tweak is the best I have seen, (even better than “slide to unlock” by Apple themselves)
- Custom designs to suit your style
- Draw your password
You can find this tweak in the Cydia Store right now, Check out this App from @B3ll released just a couple of weeks ago called Crest, Enjoy!

Cydia Tweak – Super Switcher / Multitasking Folders
Super Switcher is a useful app on Cydia, available on the BigBoss repo. This app allows you to have your favourite apps available in an additional folder accessed via the multi-tasking double tap.
You can add your favourite apps by heading to settings > SuperSwitcher & adding up to 9 individual apps, MriOSDevices would suggest bookmarked Safari pages for added accessibility (please note this does not work on the iPad, yet)
This is available for $0.99 / £0.69 and is a recommended tweak for users who want a different way to access their favourite apps. An added bonus to the tweak is the tweaks available on the second page, giving you quick access to the brightness, volume, & other toggle features.

How To Put the Newsstand App in a Folder
Apple’s “Newsstand” app in iOS 5 is a great application, allowing you to read magazines and your subscriptions. However, many of us, don’t really use the app and it sits on our home screens taking up space. This quick tutorial will exploit a bug in iOS 5 and show you how to put the Newsstand app in a folder.
First, you will have to get two other apps other than the Newsstand app (In this case I am using iMessages and Skyfire.) Then, turn your apps into
toggle mode.
Hidden Notification Tweak For iTunes (How To)
With all the recent hidden tweaks found in iOS 5 software, developers have been scouring other apps to find such tweaks, one dev found a pretty cool notification icon in iTunes. It shows you the song currently playing, although a minor tweak.
It goes to show you what we could see in the future from OS X updates…….
Give it a try yourself, we at MriOSDevices love it!
Quit iTunes.
Open Terminal (Found in Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities).
Type / Copy and paste the following command:
- defaults write com.apple.dock itunes-notifications -bool TRUE;killall Dock
done….. but wait, you can also add the iTunes logo to the notification by entering the command below!
defaults write com.apple.dock notification-always-show-image -bool TRUE;killall Dock
Open iTunes and take a look!
At anytime you feel you do not like this, you can uninstall it with the following commands below, simple!Quit iTunes.
Open Terminal.
Type / Copy and paste the following two lines…..
- defaults delete com.apple.dock itunes-notifications
- defaults delete com.apple.dock notification-always-show-image;killall Dock
Keir Thomas discovered this handy feature, then shared it on Mac OS X Hints.

How To: Enable / Hidden Panorama
A secret panorama mode has been found by @Conradev in the ios5 firmware files and you can enable it yourself from the com.apple.mobileslideshow.plist or you can simply go to cydia and download the firebreak app by chpwn.
the panorma mode comes up inside the comera.app but on the ipod touch 4g it crashes. considering that its not even in beta the UI looks nice and it works nicely on other devices. whislst ther are other panorama apps out thetre apple has never implemented one naitvley and ot would be anice feature to see in the future iOS5 perhaps.
